Now, to the final concept of this, let’s say that you hired a PPC manager. He went very deeply into the data, set a lot of customizations and custom rules at keyword or ad group levels, and thereafter you had to let him go. You wouldn’t know the logic he applied, why he did what he was doing or was he testing something? You really wouldn’t know.

So, now, you want to start this campaign from a clean slate. We do offer a way for you to do that.

If you go back at the campaign level and pull up the rule screen, you can simply tell the system to reset everything to your original 20%. Then, you can ask the system using the switch to override all custom rules. As you see, all the customizations have been overridden. Now, from scratch, everything is in default. Every rule you see at the keyword level has been set at the campaign level and can be changed in bulk at the campaign level.

This kind of customization works also on ad groups. So whenever you set a custom rule at ad group level, the custom rule affects everything that is within that ad group.
