Amazon FBA Tools

There’s a lot to learn when you’re running an Amazon FBA business. You need to do product research, keyword research, advertise your products and so much more.

Over half of Amazon’s sales come from third-party sellers. How can you get in on that action and grab your share?

By arming yourself with the top Amazon FBA tools to help you grow your business. What are the top tools to help you grow? Read on to find out.

1. Jungle Scout

When you’re thinking about launching a new product on Amazon, you need to make sure that there’s a demand for it.

Jungle Scout will give you the information you need to make smart decisions about your business. With the Chrome app, you’ll have access to revenue projections, sales estimates, and competitive sales data.

On the downside, Jungle Scout has two separate products–a web app and a chrome app. You would basically have to pay for both if you want to look things up on the web app or while you’re searching on Amazon’s site.

2. Merchant Words

Before you list your product, you want to know how people are searching for keywords. That makes Merchant Words a useful tool to have around.

They have a unique way to analyze search estimates. Most keyword search analytics use PPC search data right from Amazon. That’s good when you’re going to advertise. Instead, they have a proprietary algorithm that estimates the total number of searches for a keyword.

Merchant Words does cost $30 a month for US marketplace searches and $60 if you want to search global marketplaces.

When you do keyword research, it’s best to have a couple of tools to compare and contrast results. Using two keyword tools will give you accurate data for user trends and searches.

3. Zon.Tools

When you get your product account set up, you’ll want to make sure that you increase sales by investing in sponsored ads.

It’s tricky to advertise on Amazon. Prices are always fluctuating and navigating the ad dashboard in Seller Central is a nightmare. That’s why you want to automate your PPC ads.

Zon.Tools has a lot of features to help you automate your ads and make smart decisions that will lower your ACoS and increase your profitability.

4. Fulfillment by Amazon Revenue Calculator

Seller Central may be very cumbersome to manage, there is one tool that is helpful to Amazon FBA sellers. That’s the FBA Revenue Calculator.

You can run the numbers in the calculator to see if it’s more profitable to sell via FBA or through another fulfillment method.

Since this is Amazon’s calculator, it should reflect the most accurate and up-to-date FBA fees.

5. camelcamelcamel

What’s nice about camelcamelcamel is that it’s free. The user interface is very basic and dated. Once you get past that, you’ll find a pricing tool that’s useful for sellers and buyers.

You type in a product or keyword into the search bar. You’ll get highly detailed information on the price history for that product and the high and low prices that Amazon offered the product for and when.

Additionally, you’ll also get the same information for third-party sellers.

You might find that the price of the product dropped slightly over the last few years, or it’s increased.

6. Google Trends

Some FBA sellers want to see what’s in demand right now. Others want to build a brand and sell the brand.

Are you in the first category of FBA sellers? Then Google Trends is a fantastic tool to use to research potential products.

If you’re thinking of a product that’s hot right now, type it in. You’ll get the search volume for that term over the past 12 months. You’ll also get related topics and queries. You can drill down to see the search volume since 2004 in various countries or worldwide.

This type of data will let you decide if a product is still hot or if interest is waning.

7. TaxJar

As an FBA seller, taxes become a part of doing business. In almost every aspect, it’s a massive challenge to handle.

It’s your responsibility to collect and pay sales taxes as a business owner. It’s a major challenge for Amazon sellers because not only do you have to pay sales taxes in your home state, but in the states where you have your products stored as well. That’s called a sales tax nexus.

What TaxJar does for your FBA business is keep track of sales taxes for you. If you have a large Amazon business with several places where you technically do business, you have to file and pay taxes in each state. Each state has its own process and procedure.

TaxJar will take the information from your Amazon account, calculate your sales taxes and file them automatically for you.

8. SellerPhoto.com

Images are extremely important when you’re selling products online. If you have a unique product, you want to make sure that the images tell a great story about it.

The more compelling the images are, the more likely people will purchase the product. SellerPhoto takes care of product photography for you.

You send them your product, and they take the images for you.

9. Feedback Five

When you start getting sales for your product, you’re going to have to rely on reviews in order to boost sales and your Amazon SEO.

What Feedback Five does very well is that you have a system in place to engage with your customers and remind them to leave reviews.

One caveat to using this or any review tool? You have to make sure that you’re abiding by Amazon’s terms and conditions.

10. taxomate

Taxomate is by far the easiest and most affordable accounting software for Amazon sellers. taxomate allows you to easily connect your Amazon seller central to QuickBooks Online or Xero Accounting. Easily match and reconcile your settlement against the corresponding bank deposit from Amazon. Once you get everything set up, set taxomate to run automatically each month. It really is putting your Amazon accounting on autopilot!

The Top Amazon FBA Tools for a Thriving Business
